THE EXHIBITION
The Library of Babel is a virtual space created for the purpose of bringing artists and thinkers together.
We are calling for artists to submit work to The Babel Masks, a juried exhibition of original masks to appear in a virtual space.
The work will also appear in a print-on-demand catalog.
Dates of the virtual exhibition are October 15, 2020 to May 1, 2021.
WHAT IS THIS EXHIBIT ABOUT?
Masks have become a way of life in 2020. What if they remain with us from now on? This exhibition imagines masks 100 years from nowas daily wear. The design still protects the mouth and nose while being more expressive, even more sculptural, more stylish and more ceremonial than the basic design we know today.
